Practical & Precious has Officially Launched

Welcome To The Launch of the Practical & Precious Website

I think the best way I can describe how I felt in the run up to it is that I had stepped off a cliff into the unknown.

I’ve spent a few years now creating content, sharing the things I find useful, answering your questions and building this incredible community online. But creating my own website, putting my name behind something that was completely mine and standing in a room saying, “This is Practical & Precious”, felt very different.

And a little terrifying!

But what I realised on launch day was that I hadn’t stepped off that cliff on my own. I had all these incredible people around me holding me up, lifting me up and willing me to succeed. The room was full of people I’ve met through this mad social media journey, people I’ve worked with and supported, and brands that have supported and believed in me. There was such genuine warmth and love in that room, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.

And then there were the goody bags! They were absolutely glorious. I wanted everyone who came to the launch to leave with something really special, filled with products and treats from brands I genuinely love. Seeing them all come together was one of those moments where I thought, “Oh my God, this is actually happening.” I also want to give a very special thank you to my Gold Sponsors, whose support helped make the launch what it was: Rosalique, Key for Her and The Sweater Shop.

One of the things I’m incredibly proud of is that so many of the brands involved in the launch are brands I already have genuine relationships with. I work with brands I like, use and believe in, and having that support returned to me for something that meant so much personally was incredibly special.

And of course, none of this would exist without the people who have followed me, messaged me, shared my content, asked me questions, and trusted my recommendations over the years.

Practical & Precious grew out of that community. It’s a home for all the things we’ve been talking about for years: shopping smarter, getting better value, making our money work harder and knowing when something precious really is worth spending a little more on.

The website is only the beginning. There is so much more I want to build here, and yes, stepping into something completely new is still scary. But after launch day, I know I’m not stepping into it alone.
